What to expect when creating a custom design:
To create a unique design for the client, it takes adaptability from both parties. Starting with a conversation about what the client has in mind, I then gather any reference pictures, samples or information that helps piece the design together. Because we are all unique, what I imagine and what the client imagines could be extremely different ideas. Putting together a quick rough draft of an idea, gives us both the base point to build off of. The client will be wearing the final piece forever so I will work until the client experiences that "WOW" moment. We don't stop working together until we are both comfortable with the design, size and placement of the piece.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of tattoo styles do you specialize in?
Designs come in many different designs that include many different elements. Some clients prefer bold color with bold line work while other clients prefer more simple line work with simple shading. My goal is to collaborate with a client to determine both what they desire in a piece while following guidelines that will ensure the piece stands the test of time.
Can you describe the process for collaborating with a client to design a custom tattoo?
We can either meet in person at the shop or utilize email or messaging to communicate ideas. Once we are both on the same page with the client's ideas, then I will create a design. I will then reach out if there are any follow up questions for the design and have you schedule your session.
What should a client bring or consider before coming in for a custom tattoo consultation?
Before your custom tattoo consultation, please have available reference photos, script preferences, or any images so I can understand your vision. Also, consider the desired size and placement of your tattoo to help us create the perfect design for you.
